New Year’s Prayer

Heavenly Father,

As we stand on the threshold of a new year, December 31, 2025, we come before You with grateful hearts, acknowledging Your sovereignty over all nations, peoples, and times. You are the God of peace, the Prince of Peace who declared, “Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called children of God” (Matthew 5:9). We lift up our nation and the world to You, praying earnestly for unity, justice, and healing.

Lord, draw near the day when wars shall cease and conflicts end, as Your Word promises that You will make wars cease to the ends of the earth (Psalm 46:9). Guide the leaders of nations with wisdom and compassion, that righteousness may prevail and divisions may be reconciled. Decrease homelessness and poverty among Your people; provide shelter, provision, and hope for the vulnerable, remembering Your care for the poor and marginalized.

We pray for a great awakening: bring more souls to faith in Your Son, Jesus Christ, that many may come to know Him as Savior and Lord. Revive Your Church with renewed joy and vitality; let ministries flourish with life and power from the Holy Spirit. Fill congregations with overflowing joy, unity, and zeal, as we abide in Christ and bear much fruit (John 15:4-5). May Your people reflect Your light in a world that desperately needs hope, peace, and reconciliation.

In this new year, I commit myself anew to You. Strengthen me to give all of myself to Christ Jesus, surrendering every aspect of my life to His lordship. Help me abide in Him more deeply, drawing daily from His presence through prayer and obedience. Grant me discipline and hunger to read and study Your entire Word, that it may dwell richly in me (Colossians 3:16). Empower me to share Your truth and love boldly with others, proclaiming the Gospel and extending compassion to those around me.

May the God of hope fill us and our nation with all joy and peace as we trust in Him, overflowing with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit (Romans 15:13). We trust in Your faithfulness, knowing that You are working all things for good.

In the precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, we pray. Amen.

May this prayer encourage your heart as you enter 2026 with renewed commitment and faith. Blessings to you in the year ahead.
