Chronological Study of the Bible.
Reading the Bible in chronological order follows the sequence of events as they occurred historically (based on scholarly research), rather than the traditional canonical order. This approach helps connect historical narratives, interweave Psalms and prophetic writings with related events, and provide better context (e.g., placing Job during the patriarchal period and harmonizing Gospel accounts).

Proverbs Chapters 22 - 24
The Lord continues to unfold practical, life-giving wisdom for daily living. These verses call us to trust God’s sovereignty, value character above wealth, raise our children with purpose, and exercise self-control in a world full of distractions and temptations.
Proverbs Chapters 19-21
Proverbs 19-21 continues to contrast the paths of wisdom and folly, exploring themes like the value of integrity over riches, the importance of discipline and diligence, the fleeting nature of ill-gotten gains, and the superiority of a peaceful home
Proverbs Chapter 16-18
Now we move into Proverbs 16–18, where the focus deepens on God’s sovereignty over our plans and the critical importance of humility, integrity in our speech, and choosing wise relationships
Proverbs Chapters 10 - 12
Proverbs 10–12 marks a major shift in the book. Begin the “Proverbs of Solomon” section — a collection of short, punchy, two-line sayings. These chapters are very practical. They give divine wisdom for everyday life: how we speak, work, handle money, relate to others, and live with integrity.
Proverbs Chapters 7-9
Proverbs 7–9 presents a powerful contrast between wisdom and folly. Chapter 7 vividly portrays the danger of the seductive adulteress, while chapters 8 and 9 personify Wisdom and Folly as two women calling out to humanity — Wisdom offering life, understanding, and the fear of the Lord, and Folly leading people to ruin.
Proverbs Chapters 4-6
Overall Theme for Proverbs 4–6: Solomon is giving fatherly, loving instruction to help us live skillfully and righteously. For Christians, these chapters point us to Jesus, who is “the wisdom of God” (1 Corinthians 1:24).
Song of Solomon Chapters 1 -8
The Song of Solomon, God wants us to know that love, romance, and sexual intimacy within marriage are part of His good creation — and that human love is meant to reflect His own faithful, passionate love for us.
2 Chronicles Chapter 1 & Psalm 72
This chapter is about Solomon’s very first actions as the new king after his father David died.
1 Kings Chapters 3 & 4
With his kingdom now firmly established, Solomon begins his reign in earnest by seeking God’s wisdom and displaying remarkable discernment as he leads Israel into a time of peace and prosperity.
1 Kings Chapters 1 & 2, Psalms 37, 71 & 94
1 Kings 1–2 picks up immediately after David’s death, describing the dramatic struggle for the throne and Solomon’s rise to power as the new king of Israel.
Psalms 111 - 118
Psalms 111 through 118, known together as the Egyptian Hallel, form a beautiful and powerful collection of praise psalms that celebrate God’s glorious character, His mighty works of deliverance, and His steadfast love, culminating in the triumphant Messianic declaration of Psalm 118.
1 Chronicles 26 - 29 & Psalm 27
These four chapters form the grand finale of King David’s reign in the book of 1 Chronicles. They shift the focus from David’s military victories and personal failures to his most important legacy: preparing for the worship of God.
Psalm 131, 138, 139 and 143 - 145
These six psalms together paint a rich picture of the life of faith: humility (131), thankful worship (138), intimate relationship with God (139), crying out in trouble (143), trust in God as protector (144), and unceasing praise (145).
1 Chronicles Chapters 23 - 25
These three chapters form a key section in David’s final preparations for the Temple. They shift focus from gathering materials (chapter 22) to organizing the people who will serve in God’s house.
Psalm 108, 109 and 110
This trilogy reassures believers that we are not alone in suffering or conflict. God sees every wound, hears every prayer, and has already enthroned the One who will make all things right.
2 Samuel Chapter 24, 1 Chronicles 21-22 and Psalm 30
2 Samuel 24, 1 Chronicles 21–22, and Psalm 30, we witness both the frailty of a great king and the faithfulness of a greater God. David’s pride led to painful consequences, yet his quick repentance, costly worship, and surrendered heart opened the door for God’s mercy.
Psalm 95, 97,98 and 99
Psalms 95, 97, 98, and 99 form part of the “enthronement psalms” (along with 93, 96, etc.). They celebrate God’s sovereign reign as King over all creation, His people, and the nations
2 Samuel Chapters 22, 23 and Psalm 57
After the battles and victories recorded in 2 Samuel 21, David pours out a magnificent song of praise and thanksgiving for God’s lifelong deliverance (chapter 22), followed by his inspired last words celebrating righteous rule and God’s everlasting covenant, along with a tribute to his faithful mighty men (chapter 23).
Psalm 5, 38, 41 and 42
Psalms 5, 38, 41, and 42 together portray the honest journey of faith: beginning each day with prayer for God’s guidance and protection amid enemies (Psalm 5), openly confessing sin and its painful consequences while clinging to mercy (Psalm 38), experiencing God’s sustaining care and vindication even in sickness and betrayal (Psalm 41), and learning to thirst for the living God while encouraging our souls to hope in Him during seasons of spiritual dryness (Psalm 42).
